A Lebanese night out in Zurich // Una serata libanese a Zurigo

"Moudi" Night in Zurich (Photo credit: https://lavaleandherworld.wordpress.com/)

Last night after a full day of running around doing million things, I really needed to relax, chill out, unwind… We were supposed to go to an organised event, but it was too late, so wandering around Zurich, I believe still in Enge, we saw this cute and lively bar on the corner, next to the river, with coulourful lights and music playing with such a great vibe and we decided to make a stop there.

A very welcoming staff, just showed us where we could sit while waiting for  proper table. We sat on the stools, maybe a bit too high vs the table, but where we ended staying the whole night!

We ordered a “stange”, the Swiss/German word for a small beer, which is already probably 3/4 of a pint (another country where beer is easily drunk🙂, and a “radler”, which I was told it’s called “Panache” or “Panache’ “, like in France, basically beer with lemonade. Ohhh God, it was so refreshing, since Zurich last night was still very warm.

Oh, I forgot to say, the bar it’s called Moudi Bar, Zurich, and I decided it was a good choice as we went to a birthday party (thanks Luisa) to the Moudi Lecker Garten in Kreis 6 the week before and I liked it!

We asked for something to nibble on and a full list of dips, Lebanese mezzes and little paltes was showed to us. Well, we went for the grilled halloumi, to remember Aussie times as we really liked it, and I guess this was more real than the Australian one, but it’s just a guess🙂, and for a “Lebanese flammkuchen” with minced meat and Pomegranate. I loved the real flammkuche in Freiburg, it not really some like it, but everything was just perfect! A perfect evening, perfect atmosphere, friendly staff, good food, a refreshing drink, music almost to dance to. We could have stayed forever there, if only it wasn’t a Wednesday night. I don’t have many photos, I only have got one, I decided just to enjoy the moment, but hopefully I’ve inspired to go and try “Moudi” for yourself! We’ll definitely be back!

Noi sicuramente ritorneremo!
