POSITIVE MONDAY! – Start with the sun (inside) // Inizia il lunedi’ con il sole (dentro)

Good morning Monday! Today it’s a very windy cloudy Monday, not for sure a way to positively start the week… because of the weather after a beautiful sunny Sunday and because it’s a Monday. Anyway I think we can always try to change our attitude and our mood ourselves. Personally, probably like many other people, the sun puts me in a positive mood. It really works as an extremely big boost for me and I can jump around, maybe only with my mind and my mood, only because it’s a beautiful sunny day! I though know it can’t always be sunny and sometimes you need a cloudy day to really appreciate the sunshine again. Anyway I’d suggest everybody to think about happy, light thoughts, a happy song, visualize a space full of light like a beach or flowery field, colourful images, set yourself a goal for the day. It really helps and it really does work for me! I hope for you too! So here I leave you with this bright picture I took yesterday …

Happy Bday – What did happen in 1 Year of Blogging? // Buon compleanno!

September 26th that’s the day I finally decided to start blogging! It’s been an amazing year, during which: I experienced a lot started living in Australia again, in Melbourne for the 1st time, travelled around here & collected new stamps on my passport in Fiji, New Zealand and Thailand (I still have to write about it) met a lot of fantastic people that inspired me, in Melbourne and through Blogging experienced working by myself, in an art gallery, always looking for learning something new and learnt so much about taking photographs with a DSLR, French, reaching a good intermediate level, as my friends Gaelle & Xavier would say learnt a bit of jewellery making and a lot of small things, making bread, some Footy rules, etc… but most of all, as we’re talking about Blogging, I learnt how to blog, although there’s still so much to learn, got a deeper understanding of WordPress & social media communications and started implementing what I learnt, shared my thoughts, feelings, my travel diaries with many people that have …

POSITIVE MONDAY! – Que’ suerte tengo! // I feel so lucky!

Queenstown: Ski trip to New Zealand – Useful INFO // Avete mai pensato di sciare in Nuova Zelanda? Queenstown! – INFORMAZIONI UTILI

I wanted to come back and I knew I wanted to do it, but what I did not know was when and that I actually would really come back. What am I talking about? New Zealand! Already when I moved to Melbourne, New Zealand, together with other destinations, was on my bucket list. And the biggest dream was to go skiing there. So let’s say I accomplished my biggest dream about NZ as I just spent a long weekend in Queenstown, in the South Island. I still have to visit probably 60% of the South Island, as I visited the North tip of the South Island and part of the Malborough in 2002, but I know now it’s going to be possible! I advise to book the flight at least 3 months in advance, more if you can, especially for weekends and if your purpose is skiing. Best schedules & average priced Flights run out quickly. We flew in on Friday morning via Christchurch with Virgin Australia / Air New Zealand and arrived in Queenstown …

I just wanted to share with you that my post on the upcoming Top ski destinations has been my 100th post! And I reached this number in less than a year and without noticing, enjoying all the way! I think it’s been rewarding to write about my experience in Australia, my travels, my thoughts, recipes and feelings  I guess this is the right spirit to keep on going 🙂 And this the post was just to prepare the audience reading me for an article about skiing in New Zealand and Queenstown. Coming very, very soon!

Chilly & Feeling ‘snowy’ today: Where to go skiing before it’s too crowded!

Today it really felt a bit colder in Melbourne and I could smell the snowy weather in the air. Supposedly it snowed in Victoria, in Mount Buller for example, and it’s going to snow in Queenstown, New Zealand. Well, yeah, I’d love to ski!!! So on the subject here’s an article that I came across on The Age by ‘Miss Snow it all‘ (I love this name!) which collects some other ski destinations around the globe. They are always in the famous ski countries in Europe, North America, Japan, but it says they are soon to become the new top spots. Some of them you might know, depending on where you live, some others you won’t. Some of them I find hard to believe, probably because I know the place too well or maybe it has just been improved in the last few years and I don’t know…I hope so! Some I totally agree with. And I think that a different place can always look interesting to new eyes, coming from another country or snow …

POSITIVE MONDAY! – Monday Positive Start!

Just a quick note & video to start a new week with a positive attitude! We know Mondays can be quite hard sometimes. Spring has just started, UpAbove is still summer, we can make what we want out of our life. I’m quoting my friend Carlos: “Half an hour can change your life”,for the positive, or even just a minute! (Original quote in Spanish: “Una media hora te puede cambiar la vida”) So let’s take it slowly, relax, stop for a moment and listen to this people singing a song in Federation Square, just in the Melbourne CBD.
